of course is sung by John Wallace, and he does a great job!!!

I think it is about Sue, his old love, and it means she is really alone, 
afraid
and insecure with herself.  The flying thing comes up again as it does in 
other parts of the song, such as "I was gonna learn to fly" and Here I'm 
flyin' in my Taxi.  Sue has not realized her dream either as evidenced in 
the line, "Thats when I asked her where was that actress, She said that 
was somebody else"
