  Brian,

   To me this song means that his wife is cheating on him and that she 
is saying that she does not care if he does the same,in fact she thinks 
he should , however she still wants to come home every night to him 
because it is a safe place. I also think that this song depicts married 
people who get bored with each other sexually but do not want to split 
up because of the kids
